Au programme cette ann\u00e9e, le \u00abMessie\u00bb de George Friedrich Haendel sera interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par le ch\u0153ur sous la direction de Marc Opstad, chef de ch\u0153ur anglo-fran\u00e7ais, fondateur de la Maitrise de Toulouse qu&rsquo;il dirige. Le ch\u0153ur sera accompagn\u00e9 par William Fielding \u00e0 l&rsquo;orgue, avec la participation de Zena Baker, soprano, Judith Paimblanc, alto, Alfredo Poesina, t\u00e9nor et Nicolas Abella, basse.<br \/>\nLe Messie (Messiah, HWV 56) est un oratorio compos\u00e9 en 1741 par George Friedrich Haendel et consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le chef d&rsquo;\u0153uvre de l&rsquo;oratorio. Si le Messie est une \u0153uvre dont la renomm\u00e9e d\u00e9passe toutes les autres de GF Haendel, cet oratorio fut cependant compos\u00e9 rapidement, pour une premi\u00e8re \u00e0 Dublin en 1742.<br \/>\nCharles Jennens r\u00e9alisa le livret en trois parties: la Nativit\u00e9; Passion et R\u00e9surrection; R\u00e9demption. L&rsquo;alternance id\u00e9ale d&rsquo;airs solistes et de ch\u0153urs a \u00e9t\u00e9 maintes fois admir\u00e9e, et la science lyrique de Haendel est partout pr\u00e9sente dans les airs: suaves ou victorieux, ils sont parmi les plus beaux du compositeur. Les ch\u0153urs sont aussi m\u00e9morables, et restent dans l&rsquo;oreille depuis 250 ans &#8230;<br \/>\nD\u00e9di\u00e9 au Christ, construit sur des textes sacr\u00e9s, le Messie est \u00e0 la fois une \u0153uvre \u00e9videmment religieuse, tout en ne relevant d&rsquo;aucune forme liturgique. \u0152uvre th\u00e9\u00e2trale sacr\u00e9e, elle n&rsquo;a pas le moteur dramatique des oratorios historiques, mais resplendit d&rsquo;une ferveur qui rappelle les \u0153uvres de la p\u00e9riode italienne de Haendel, toue en \u00e9tant p\u00e9trie des traditions de la musique religieuse anglaise et des op\u00e9ras dont Haendel s&rsquo;est fait le champion \u00e0 Londres.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Premi\u00e8re partie<\/strong> : PROPH\u00c9TIE, NAISSANCE ET MINIST\u00c8RE DU CHRIST<br \/>\n1.
